There is more time involved with preparing the porcelain veneers. Preparation of the tooth is minimal however, to make the porcelain veneers, impressions need to be sent to the dental laboratory, which is about a 2-week processing time.
When the veneers are returned, they are checked in the mouth for fit and colour before being cemented in place permanently.
